Tavis Smiley to Sen. Reid - "Put down the crack pipe Harry"

The saga of Blago - Burris - and Reid - continues.  Blago was impeached by the Illinois house of representatives today by a vote of 114 - 1, but Blago is ready to hold a press conference as I type this all the while continuing to whip Sen. Harry Reid with the Burris appointment.  Also, the Illinois Supreme Court has ruled that the Sec. of State's signature is not required to seat Rodney Burris in the US Senate.  

The youtube clip below begins with HARDBALL and ends with Tavis Smiley on MORNING JOE.  When Joe Scarborough asks Smiley about Reid's declaration that he does not work for Barack Obama, Tavis tells Reid to "lay off the crack pipe Harry, we all work for Barack Obama."

The Senate today passed by a voice vote defending and praising Israel for its war in Gaza, asserting that Israel has "facilitated humanitarian aid." The House is expected to follow suit.

Debbie Schlussel Is Back! (W/ Spiderman & Obama)

Some of you new listeners might not remember the hilarious "feud" (too strong a word but what else do I call it?) between Cenk and the comical right wing blogger Debbie Schlussel. EDIT: I just found the original video where Cenk, Ben and Jill discover Debbie Downer.

Well, Schlussel is back! Ok, to be fair she never really left, it's just that no one cares. But since I randomly stumbled onto her website full of blogs today I couldn't resist to read a few, including this gem about how Spider Man is in the tank for Obama (scroll up after you click the link).

This laughable piece talks about how comics embraced left wing politics decades ago, but even better than that is her ridiculous attempt to continue to smear Obama through imaginary connections to Ahmadinejad and Hamas.
