I want to make sure you are all aware that TYT will change the time of the show on Wednesday, December 31st. For Wednesday ONLY, we will do the show from 3-6pm ET. As always, we will have the show on a loop for those who miss it live.

Please also keep in mind that there will be no show on January 1st or January 2nd. However, we will have several new videos on our youtube channel for your viewing pleasure. Everyone at TYT wishes you and your family a happy new year!

Movie Review: The Secret Life of Bees

I had the pleasure of catching a late-night flick on Sunday to celebrate the last few hours of the weekend. Why is the weekend only two days long? Anyway, since I've been impressed with Jennifer Hudson's acting abilities, I decided to watch "The Secret Life of Bees." I knew the movie would not disappoint, and it didn't.

TYT will obviously have special coverage of election day...and as I sit here and decide who I would like to book on the show, I realized the most important thing is to get feedback from you.

So, please comment on this post by indicating who your favorite guest has been thus far. This person can be anyone who impressed you during Cenk's famous on-air interviews. I really want you to tell me who your FAVORITE guest is, and not get negative and tell me who you didn't like. Let's keep this a friendly blog.

TYT will begin coverage of the VP debates tonight at 8:45pm ET. Cenk Uygur and Michael Shure will do play-by-play analysis of the debate. Afterward, we will have two special guests to give their post-debate perspectives, including liberal blogger Sean-Paul Kelly, and conservative blogger blogger Joshua Trevino.

Movies and Entertainment: Never a Priority Until Now

It's frustrating  to have people automatically assume I'm an idiot because all they hear me talk about is entertainment news...or because I just happen to be young and don't know much about classic movies. McCain Steps In To Halt Troopergate

Vice Presidential hopeful Sarah Palin is currently undergoing an ethics investigation for allegedly firing Alaska's Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan last summer for not giving into pressures to terminate Mike Wooten's position as a state trooper. The scandal dubbed "troopergate," accuses Palin of wanting to destroy Wooten's career due to his involvement in a bitter custody battle with her sister.  But the McCain campaign is fighting full force to halt the investigation before the November general elections roll around the corner.

Why Republicans are Wimps.

I had this overwhelming sense of optimism when I walked through the security gates at the Republican National Convention. Although I work for the notoriously progressive Young Turks Show, which basically bashes Republican ideologies and hypocrisies on a daily basis, I was confident that I could still rely on adults behaving rationally in a professional setting.

Walking through the halls, I noticed McCain supporters strewn throughout the crowd with cowboy hats on. Not my choice of accessory, but I digress. FOX News has made its mark at the convention, with several monitors featuring the news show literally scattered everywhere.
